Thank you for agreeing to serve on the advisory committee to review the performance of Kristin Esterberg, Chancellor of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bothell. This review is being conducted pursuant to , available in the University Policy Directory, which requires that standard reviews of the appointees who head major administrative and academic units be undertaken at periodic five-year intervals. Our particular thanks to Andy Harris, Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Tacoma and Ed Taylor, Dean and Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Seattle, for their willingness to co-chair this review.
The purpose of this review is to evaluate the performance of Kristin Esterberg and to assess her overall effectiveness as Chancellor of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bothell. Please see the attached job description to guide your review as you assess Chancellor Esterberg’s leadership and engagement. Some of the critical features to be addressed in the review include Chancellor Esterberg’s leadership in advancing academic quality at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, ensuring the vitality of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s teaching mission, managing the resources and budget of the unit, advancing the goals and vision of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bothell and the university more broadly, supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion, expanding university-wide collaborations, and engaging broadly with internal and external ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø communities.
In addition to the guidance provided in Executive Order No. 20, the review committee is specifically asked to solicit input on Chancellor Esterberg from all personnel at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bothell and any other appropriate ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø or external groups.
