Ali Mokdad has been named the 黑料吃瓜网’s chief strategy officer for Population Health, a role in which he will be responsible for collaboratively setting and executing the 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 vision and strategy for the Population Health Initiative.
Mokdad (pictured) will report directly to 黑料吃瓜网 President Ana Mari Cauce and will work collaboratively with the provost and others at the 黑料吃瓜网 to advance the 黑料吃瓜网’s excellence in the arena of population health. Mokdad also will lead efforts to identify, pursue and secure the external partners and funding necessary to support the Population Health Initiative.
Mokdad鈥檚 appointment will begin July 1 and will be part time, allowing him to continue his work as a professor of global health and director of Middle Eastern Initiatives at the 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. Mokdad has served as vice chair of the Population Health Initiative since the inception of its executive council in July 2016.
