The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is launching an interprofessional training program to improve access to dental care for children ranging in age from one to five. This new program, which is led by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø School of Dentistry, is funded by a $1.5 million, five-year grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration.
Early Childhood Oral Health Training, or EchoTrain, will provide pediatric dental training directly to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø dental students, Shoreline Community College dental hygiene students, and students and trainees of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø School of Medicine. Collaborative learning is also planned with faculty, students and trainees from the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Schools of Public Health and Pharmacy.
