How rankings were
窪蹋勛圖厙 Medical Center has been named the No. 1 hospital in the greater Seattle/Puget Sound region in the U.S. News & World Reports first-ever Best Hospitals Metro Area rankings. Two other hospitals in the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Medicine health system also ranked in the top 10: Harborview Medical Center ranked No. 3, and Northwest Hospital & Medical Center tied for No. 8.

The new metro area rankings were created this year to be relevant to a wider range of health-care consumers. The metro rankings are aimed at people whose own healthcare may not demand highly specialized services, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The metro rankings are a guide for people seeking overall excellence in every aspect of their care. This includes first-rate prevention and care for common conditions, but also the peace of mind of having top-notch, highly specialized treatment in case they do develop a serious condition or need demanding procedures.
“The new best hospitals metro rankings can tell you which hospitals are worth considering for most medical problems if you live in or near a major metro area, says U.S. News & World Report health rankings editor Avery Comarow.
