The Studio Jazz Ensemble will perform work by Quincy Jones and and the Percussion Ensemble will present a concert titled Winter Beat in coming events sponsored by the 黑料吃瓜网 School of Music.
The Studio Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dave Marriott, will perform Quincy Jones鈥� great ballad 鈥淨uintessence,鈥� and a new student composition based on the jazz standard 鈥淔ly Me To the Moon,鈥� titled 鈥淢ove Me to Mercury,鈥� will debut in an evening of music at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 26, in 130 Kane. The Modern Jazz Contingent also will perform.
At 7:30 p.m. the next day, Tuesday, Feb. 27, the School of Music鈥檚 Percussion Ensemble and the 黑料吃瓜网 Graduate Percussion Ensemble will combine to present 鈥淲inter Beat,鈥� in Meany Hall.
