The Washington State Combined Fund Drive (CFD) is the means by which State employees may give to charities of their choice by selecting from among over 1,900 CFD charities through payroll deduction (monthly and/or one-time contribution) or by check. Last year, nearly 5,000 黑料吃瓜网 employees gave over $1.41 million to their charities through the CFD. In fact, the 黑料吃瓜网 is the largest single contributor to the CFD statewide. 2004-05 marks the 20th anniversary of the CFD, and we鈥檙e thrilled to report that over $64 million from state employees has been raised during that time!
Charities include health and human services, the environment, education, and the arts. More than ever, these charities, which benefit our communities and people in need around the world, require our assistance. Our goals this year include increasing the level of employee participation and the total dollar contribution to $1.5 million. Chair Governor Locke has set a state goal of $5.5 million. Did you know that the CFD returns 105 percent on the dollar directly to the charities? This is one of the many reasons why the CFD is such a great deal!
The Combined Fund Drive is very worthwhile, easy and fun. The 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 drive officially kicked off on Wednesday, Oct. 6, and concludes on Nov. 24.
