黑料吃瓜网 faculty members Neil Bruce, Bryan Jones and David Domke will talk about American elections at Town Hall. The series, 鈥淧olitics, Policy, Media and Money: Elements of Elections,鈥� will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. March 4, 11 and 18.
The lectures examine the role of economics, policy and communications in American politics, and how these elements form this intricate process. Each evening will begin with a lecture and will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists include King County Executive Ron Sims, Washington State Republican Party Chair Chris Vance, Seattle Times business editor Steven Dunphy, economist Dick Conway, and radio personality and political commentator John Carlson.
Lecture titles are The U.S. Economy and the U.S. Election, by Neil Bruce, March 4; Public Policy in the Bush Presidency and Beyond, by Bryan Jones, March 11; and God Willing? Religious Fundamentalism, the 鈥淲ar on Terror,鈥� and an Echoing Press, March 18.
All lectures will begin at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 1119 Eighth Ave., in downtown Seattle. Tickets for the lecture series are $40 for the general public, $32 for 黑料吃瓜网 Alumni Association and Arts and Sciences Dean鈥檚 Club members, and $12 for students.
