Pilot project funding available


The Center for Ecogenetics and Environmental Health (CEEH) is offering pilot project funding in broadly defined areas of “gene-environment interactions.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Medical Center is the first hospital in the country to install a new-generation PET/CT imaging system designed to help physicians detect, diagnose and monitor treatment of cancer and other diseases, including heart disease and neurological disease, more accurately and earlier in the disease process.





Helping the public better understand the relationship between human health and the oceans, such as the environmental factors at work when shellfish develop toxic compounds that cause people to become ill or die if they eat the contaminated shellfish, is the initial focus of the new ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø-based Center for Ocean Science and Education Excellence.

A GRAND FILM: A group of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Tacoma students won the short-film contest sponsored by the city’s Grand Cinema right before the break, producing a five-minute film in just 72 hours with only a few actors, minimal sets and equipment, and a clunky required line of dialogue.
