Correction: The caption for a photo of a research group in Africa, published in the July 24 issue, misidentified the ϳԹ participants in the group.

The ϳԹ has signed an exclusive license with ActivBiotics, Inc., of Lexington, Mass., to allow the company to use knowledge and technology developed by Dr. Allan Shor of the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and researchers at the ϳԹ for the diagnosis and treatment of arterial chlamydial granuloma, a condition linked to one of the world’s leading causes of death.

LIFETIME OF LANDSCAPE: Richard Haag, professor emeritus of landscape architecture, received the ASLA Medal from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
