The program recognizes 100 ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø undergraduate and graduate students from Bothell, Seattle and Tacoma in all areas of study who are making the most of their time at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Women’s basketball team departed for the Final Four this morning with help from a large crowd of supporters gathered at Husky stadium. The seventh-seeded Huskies head to Indianapolis for their first Final Four in program history. Seattle Mayor Ed Murray addressed the crowd and proclaimed it Purple and Gold Week in honor of the team. On day 20 of the special session, just before 11:00 p.m., the legislature adjourned sine die, after passing compromise  earlier in the day. The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø was successful in bringing home its top priority – backfill for the tuition reduction adopted by the legislature in 2015. Throughout session, students, staff, alumni, regents, and leadership reinforced the same message, that backfilling the tuition cut was critical to preserving access to and the quality of education at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Read more from the .
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden was in Seattle on Monday as part of his cancer “moonshot” listening tour. He urged Seattle leaders, include ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Medicine, to work together to solve the complexities of curing cancer.
